Banners & Balloons at Incy Wincy

Good morning quick post from me to tell you about the start of a new challenge at Incy Wincy where this week we want to see Banners & Balloons on your projects. We are sponsored this week by the fantastic Bugaboo Stamps. A CAS card from me today as time is short as we had a fantastic few days with family staying last week and we are off out and about for a few days this week as both me and hubby are off work. I've used Mouse with Balloons from our sponsor coloured him with my pro markers adding glossy accents to the balloons. The paper is from an old Basic Grey pad and i cut the banner under the sentiment from some blue paper in the same pad. The candy buttons are also from Basic Grey not sure I like them dotted randomly, why is it they look great on other peoples cards dotted in a random pattern but they never look right on mine think it's cause I'm a bit OCD about everything balancing!

Don't forget we still have our DT call going we would love some of you to come and join our happy and relaxed team you can find all the details here.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - Cute Little Animal

S J Crafts August Challenge

Today's card is one I made for Aimee and her friend Ella May  to give to their friend at school who was going back to Korea to live. It also fits in with the new challenge which went live yesterday over at S J Crafts where this month we want to see projects with the theme of Holidays / Travel and also for you to use something new and something old.

So for my card my something new was this cute digi from Zlatoena's Designs called Travel Bunny  I coloured him with promarkers adding some glossy accents to his googles. I decided to paper piece the plane slightly fiddly but worth it I think all the papers are from Prima Hello Pastel collection. I added a banner to the back of the plane with some paper twine. My something old was my Fiskers Threading water border punch which I think is the first border punch I got.

I decided to make a cross over card so I could put a photo I took of the three of them playing in my garden a few days before she had to go home. On the reverse of the insert I printed a poem which I thought was fitted the occassion.
" Our friendship with you is special
And we hope it never ends
Even though you'll be miles and miles away
Let's stay the best of friends."
I haven't put a photo of the reverse of the insert as it has our address and Ella Mays address on it so that they can all keep in touch.
Don't forget to hop over to the blog a check out the rest of the DT fantastic projects.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Word Play at Country View Challenges

Whoops blogger strikes again this post was scheduled to go this morning at 6 but for some reason blogger decided not to post it perhaps it was having a lie in? Any way onto the reason for today's post last month I was lucky enough to be picked as the winner at Country View Challenges where I won a £20 voucher to spend on goodies from the shop and they also I asked me if I would like to be GDT this month, I said yes of course although I was a bit worried that my work wasn't good enough as the DT over their do some amazing things with inks and things. Here's my effort for the new challenge, Word Play  so anything that involves quotes, sayings etc but excluding sentiments such as 'Happy birthday', 'New home', 'Congratulations' and the like, which starts today.
I decided I would alter this Kraft notebook which I picked up at work for 50p in the recent sale, what i didn't think about was that at A5 size most of my papers would be to small whoops. After hunting through my very old stack of 12 x 12 papers I pulled out 3 sheets of Fancy Pants Dancing girl which I cut up to create my layers. I inked the edges of the polka dot piece slightly with Weathered Wood distress ink.

I've used this cute owl again from The Stamping Chef and coloured him up with my pro-markers adding glossy accents to his glasses. I typed up this quote on the computer and put a squiggly frame around it and then printed it onto some of the DP. I fussy cut the frame out and then used a paper clip to attach it to the notebook. I added some pieces of ribbon the the spiral bind on the side of the book.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at some of amazing work for the DT and maybe join in yourselves.

I would like to enter my notebook into the following challenges:
City Crafter - Animal Magic
Try It On Tuesdays - Things With Wings
The Crafters Cafe - Use A Digi
Fab N Funky - Walk On The Wildside

Wedding White On White With Gold at Incy Wincy

Good morning time for a new challenge over at Incy Wincy this week we want to see Wedding cards using the colour scheme of White On White with Gold. We are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this week.
I kept my card quite simple this week using lots of die cuts and embossing folders. I die cut some hearts out of white and gold card and turned one into a groom in his suit jacket with a bow tie and the bride has a lovely embossed swirls dress with a pearl necklace. The background is embossed with a tiny hearts embossing folder from cuttlebug and I have run a piece of gold ribbon across the card and added a computer generated sentiment on the top of it.

Sketch time at Incy Wincy

Running a bit late as I was still trying to get all the teachers presents and cards finished up last night and I forgot to schedule this post. I had one card left to do tonight but Aimee has come home to stay that that teacher isn't in school now untill September so no rush to get it finished now lol.
This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy  is a sketch one the lovely Karen has drawn up this fabby sketch for us to use.
And we are sponsored by Digi Characters by Heather Ellis. I have used this cute image from her to make a thank you card for one of the teachers. I coloured the image with promarkers and gave her a little paper pieced cardigan. The papers are from MME Now & Then Mildred. Which I teamed with some Kraft card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Butterflies at Totally Gorjuss

Wow it's been a long week we have had stock take at work this week so I worked my day off to help get everything ready. As it's Saturday it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss which this week is a nice easy one Butterflies. I have been busy making gifts for teachers this week and here is one I made for a friends little boy to give to his teacher. I was asked to incorporate butterflies into the present as that is what his class is called. I bought some plain black memo blocks from work in the sale recently for 50p each ( I think they thought I was mad at work as I bought 15 of the things lol but as a crafter I could see the potential of them!!). I started of by printing a verse onto some white card and then got my distress inks out to play on this one I have used Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. The swirls are the Grunge Flourish stamp from Visible Image. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch which I embossed with the Divine Swirls folder in my cuttlebug and then inked.
Here's an angled photo so you can see the sides of the block as well sorry about the path I had a nightmare trying to take this photo's as the sun was really bright and all the others had terrible shadows on them.

I would like to enter my memo block into the following challenges:

Visible Image Challenge - Anything Goes
Bloggers Challenge - Quotes

Strings & Things At Incy Wincy

Good morning feels like a long time since I posted or crafted it's only been a week but feels much longer first of all I managed to whack my bad hand on the handle of the back door so couldn't do very much with it then on Tuesday morning I woke with a pain in my neck which got worse by the minute so off to the doctors I went and turns out my neck muscles had gone into spasm. Ouch didn't that hurt still aching now but I can at least keep my head upright and move without being in agony.
Onto the real reason I'm here today there is a new challenge over at Incy Wincy which this week is STRINGS & THINGS (ribbon, thread, string, fibre, etc.) and this week we are sponsored by the fantastic The Stamping Chef who very kindly gave the DT an image of their choice to work with I picked (Kn)OWL(edge) but only used half the image as I was having trouble colouring the whole thing.

I used my promarkers to colour him in and added glossy accents to his glasses. The paper is from MME Now & Then Mildred pad which I teamed with some Kraft card. I added some ribbon along the bottom of the card with a computer generated sentiment tag finished with a button and a twine bow. To fill the empty white space in the top right hand corner I added a couple of woodgrain enamel dots.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Make My Monday - End of Term
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Things With Wings
I Love Promarkers - Things With Wings

I have used this fab Crabby Cathy image from Bugaboo to make this wall hanging I can so relate to this image as this has been me at work for the last few weeks somebody in their wisdom decided we needed new computer systems and we have had nothing but problems since. I coloured the image with my promarkers adding glossy accents to the start and heart. The paper is form a Bo Bunny pad I think.

Pink & Green at Totally Gorjuss

Good morning time for a new challenge at Totally Gorjuss where this week we want you to use Pink & Green. My card this week is for one of Aimee's teachers, her class is called Aliens so Aimee thought it would be a good idea to have an alien on the card so she looked through my digi's and found this alien / monster from Pollycraft which she thought was highly funny as he has pants on. I've coloured the image with promarkers adding some glossy accents to his eyes and toenails. The pink paper is from Dovecraft Back To Basics and the green paper is from a MME pad. I added some pink enamel dots under the stamped sentiment and die cut a couple of green stars which I then covered with stickles.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Thank You
Aud Sentiments Challenge - 2 Word Sentiment
