Metal Mania at Incy Wincy

Good morning time for another challenge at Incy Wincy
this week our challenge is
' Metal Mania'
All you have to do is either add some Metal or your image has something that would be made from Metal, so you could use brads, pins, Staples, poppers.... or even an image with a swing, shovel wagon or anything you can think of.

and we are sponsored by the fab

For my card I have used this cute image from our sponsor called Linda Spring 1, I have coloured her with my promarkers. My papers are from MME ( sorry can't remember which pad) and I have matted and layered them onto some dark grey card. I've dug out my much neglected paper flowers and put some different sized ones together with a METAL brad, added a die cut swirl instead of some leaves. The ribbon was is my stash not sure where it's from but think it's probably from Crafty Ribbons.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - O's & X's challenge (die cut/punches, flowers, ribbon)
Joanna Sheen - Girls, girls, girls
Paper Playtime - Buttons or Brads

Animal antics at Incy Wincy

Good morning time for another challenge at Incy Wincy
this week our challenge is
' Animal Antics '
and we are sponsored by the fab
I made this card for my husband as today is our 18th Wedding Anniversary. I have used this fun image from Wee Stamps coloured with my promarkers, I added glossy accent to the bugs noses and silver liquid pearls to the little dots around the flowers. The papers are from MME Oliver pad which was still on my desk from last weeks card. I used my fiskers border punch for the grey strip across the card and added some small brads to the corners for a bit of interest. The heart was cut with a fiskers hand punch and the Love you sentiment was a papermania one that I have had for ages.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
ABC Challenge - Wedding/Anniversary
Creative Moments - Use Brads

Onwards & Upwards Blog Hop

My post today is part of a blog hop for my DT teammate Jennifer's Onwards & Upwards blog event that she is hosting this weekend over on her blog this is what she has to say about the event -

The ‘Onwards and Upwards’ weekend will take place right here on Friday 10th – Sunday 12th May 2013. Posts will go live every hour from 4pm – 10pm Friday, and then 10am – 10pm Saturday and Sunday (BST), with a mix of giveaways, tutorials, challenges, inspiration, a blog hop, and more! The event graphics above show you a glimpse at some of the projects that will be featured, and the prizes that will be given away. But there will be more, lots more!
The theme for the weekend is loosely inspired by my word of the year ‘Progress’ (see my word of the year layout here). However, ‘Onwards and Upwards’ is about all kinds of things, including: hopes and dreams, resolutions and goals, uplifting quotes and sentiments, travel, trying new things, positive reinforcements, finding direction, or just looking to the skies for subject matter or embellishments (clouds, planes, birds, hot air balloons, and more)!

I have made a little altered beer mat (coaster), I've covered it in papers form MME Paris & Co pad and then inked the edges with Iced Spruce Distress Ink. I stamped some swirls with the same ink to give the edges some interest.  I've printed off one of my favourite quotes onto some matching DP and distressed the edges and then painted them with distress stickles. Finally I added a die cut heart to the corner.
If your already following the hop you should have arrived here from Jo.B. If our not what are you waiting for head over to Jennifer's blog to start the hop from the beginning.
Have a look at the fab prize you could win by leaving a comment on all the blogs in the hop, finishing at www.jennifergracecreates.com to let Jennifer know you've been all the way around, then you'll be in with a chance to win a prize pack of cheerful Glitz Designs Color Me Happy and Simple Stories 24/7, worth over £25! All entries must be received by Monday the 13th of May at 10.59pm BST.

Your next stop along the hop is... Jacky'.
