Get Well Soon

A quick get well card made with my new MME Blush papers which I have to say are gorgeous and very strokable lol the sort you don't want to cut into. I used one of the new stamps I won a while ago this one is from Whimsy Stamps and is called Wee Snippet isn't she sweet I have coloured her with promarkers and added a touch of sparkle with crystal stickles. I've keep the embellishments simple as I had to post this card off to USA  for one of my DT buddy's who unfortunately has been involved in an accident. The swirl is a Marianne die which again has been covered with stickles.

CRAFT Challenge 121 - Using Parchment

Can you believe another week has gone by and it's time for a new challenge at CRAFT challenge this week is a hard one (well I thought so) to use parchment on your project.
We have a fab sponsor for you this week

DigiDarla is offering a prize of one month free to the Digital Stamp Club.
Well this challenge certainly got me thinking as it was not something I ever really had a go at so I did so research and omg that made it worse there are some beautiful parchment cards out there they are real works of art. I decided to keep it simple as I didn't have any of the tools for parchment craft I have used a embossing tool and a ruler to create the lines and then used the embossing tool to create the dots. I've used some brads to attach the parchment to the card and tied a spotty blue ribbon around. The image is a Penny Black sticker which I have had for an age and never used.
If your like me and completly stuck on what to do for this challenge our GDT Tina has done a fab tutorial for you you will find it on the challenge blog.

Distressing at Incy Wincy

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy is distressing and we are sponsors by

I have used this cute image from Stamp Fairy called Barry Spooky Bats. I decided to have a change from making a card and made this little wall hanging from a beer mat.
I printed the image off twice once on the grey digi paper and once onto white card, which I coloured with my promarkers and cut out and mounted onto the grey one with foam pads. I gave the bats little red gem eyes to make them a bit more spooky.
Now I know from the first picture my wall hanging doesn't look very distressed but I have used my paper distress tool all around the edges and inked them with black ink think you can see it in the next photo. I also used some crackle glossy accents on the letters which i cut on my cuttlebug.

I used some beading wire to make the hanging bit which is threaded through some eylets set into the beer mat and attached a lace bow with another little bat.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Passion For Promarkers - Beary Special
Lollipop Crafts - Anything But A Card
Creative Stamp Friends - Anything Goes But A Card
Allsorts -  Alter/ Recycle ( I've altered a beermat)

Saturday 17 September 2011

Rhys wanted a card for his friends birthday tomorrow and he wanted it to have a car on it so I have used this fab image called need for speed from Kenny K. The papers are freebie digi ones from Summertime Designs freedom ain't free kit. I have coloured the image with promarkers and glossy accented the car. The stars are punched out of some of the paper and then glossy accented and I used my Martha Stewart zig zag punch to create the border.

Recipe time at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge

This weeks challenge at CRAFT is a recipe - 2 ribbons, 1 circle, 3 squares .
We have two fantastic sponsors for you this week.

I have used a stamp from Whiff of Joy on my card coloured with promarkers and I have used a snow writer for the snow. The papers are a pack from Dovecraft that I bought last year. I've cut the tag with a Fiskers punch and the sentiment is a stamp form Lili of the Valley.
