Butterflies at Totally Gorjuss

Wow it's been a long week we have had stock take at work this week so I worked my day off to help get everything ready. As it's Saturday it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss which this week is a nice easy one Butterflies. I have been busy making gifts for teachers this week and here is one I made for a friends little boy to give to his teacher. I was asked to incorporate butterflies into the present as that is what his class is called. I bought some plain black memo blocks from work in the sale recently for 50p each ( I think they thought I was mad at work as I bought 15 of the things lol but as a crafter I could see the potential of them!!). I started of by printing a verse onto some white card and then got my distress inks out to play on this one I have used Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. The swirls are the Grunge Flourish stamp from Visible Image. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch which I embossed with the Divine Swirls folder in my cuttlebug and then inked.
Here's an angled photo so you can see the sides of the block as well sorry about the path I had a nightmare trying to take this photo's as the sun was really bright and all the others had terrible shadows on them.

I would like to enter my memo block into the following challenges:

Visible Image Challenge - Anything Goes
Bloggers Challenge - Quotes

Teachers Gifts Part 2

What happens when you take a plain and boring notebook and add some pretty papers?

This!!
These are the second part to the teachers presents I made them a pretty notebook and matching pen each. This first one uses papers from MME Howdy Doody, along with some pretty seam binding and lace from my stash. the buttefly is and x cut punch and the flowers are some white ones which I coloured to match. The gems have all been hand stuck down I used the waste part of my swirl die cut to give me the shape.

The papers on this one are from MME Blush pad and the flower is die cut using Tim Holtz tattered florals die. I've edged everything on this one with crystal stickles. I apologise for the photo again it was taken late evening so although the ribbon looks as if it doesn't match in real life it does.

Teacher Gift Part 1

This is the first part of the gifts that I made for Aimee's Teachers this year. I bought some small packs of Thorntons chocolates and then made some gift boxes to put them in. I followed these instructions to make these very simple boxes from Kraft Card and then prettied them up using some punches and ribbon.

I've used a Fiskers border punch on this one and a tiny woodware butterfly punch, The papers are from MME Howdy Doody 6 x 6 pad and the sentiment is a freebie stamp that came with a magazine ages ago.
Side view for you
This is the second box sorry about the photo had to take it late evening as I only finished it the night before Aimee took it to school. This time I have used a x cut border punch and MME Blush papers
