CRAFT Challenge 121 - Using Parchment

Can you believe another week has gone by and it's time for a new challenge at CRAFT challenge this week is a hard one (well I thought so) to use parchment on your project.

 Well this challenge certainly got me thinking as it was not something I ever really had a go at so I did so research and omg that made it worse there are some beautiful parchment cards out there they are real works of art. I decided to keep it simple as I didn't have any of the tools for parchment craft I have used a embossing tool and a ruler to create the lines and then used the embossing tool to create the dots. I've used some brads to attach the parchment to the card and tied a spotty blue ribbon around. The image is a Penny Black sticker which I have had for an age and never used.

How Exciting

Distressing at Incy Wincy

 This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy is distressing and we are sponsors by

I have used this cute image from Stamp Fairy called Barry Spooky Bats. I decided to have a change from making a card and made this little wall hanging from a beer mat.

I printed the image off twice once on the grey digi paper and once onto white card, which I coloured with my promarkers and cut out and mounted onto the grey one with foam pads. I gave the bats little red gem eyes to make them a bit more spooky.

Now I know from the first picture my wall hanging doesn't look very distressed but I have used my paper distress tool all around the edges and inked them with black ink think you can see it in the next photo. I also used some crackle glossy accents on the letters which i cut on my cuttlebug. 

I used some beading wire to make the hanging bit which is threaded through some eylets set into the beer mat and attached a lace bow with another little bat.

Rhys wanted a card for his friends birthday tomorrow and he wanted it to have a car on it so I have used this fab image called need for speed from Kenny K. The papers are freebie digi ones from Summertime Designs freedom ain't free kit. I have coloured the image with promarkers and glossy accented the car. The stars are punched out of some of the paper and then glossy accented and I used my Martha Stewart zig zag punch to create the border.

I have used a stamp from Whiff of Joy on my card coloured with promarkers and I have used a snow writer for the snow. The papers are a pack from Dovecraft that I bought last year. I've cut the tag with a Fiskers punch and the sentiment is a stamp form Lili of the Valley.

I have made 2 cards for this challenge the first one is an idea that I got from one of this months craft magazines that I only buy for the free gifts on the front!

I made a little christmas tree out of buttons I took 3, small brown buttons,12 assorted sized green buttons and threaded them onto some craft wire attached a blingy star to the top. I used my nesties to cut a hole in my card blank so I could hang the tree from it.

 My second card used a stamp set from Doodle Pantry, this set contained several coloured and uncoloured images, papers and sentiments. I've used one of the coloured images, papers and a sentiment, I used my nesties to cut the image out and added a button tied with some twine to the corner.

 On the sentiment I added some gems to the wording.

 

Create a Bookmark at Incy Wincy

Tiddly Inks

I've used Fairy Fae Catches A Star form Tiddly Inks on my bookmark. I have coloured her with promarkers adding some sparkle with a sakura pen.

The DP is from Back To Basics 2 and is layered onto some purple cardstock. I have used a border punch at the bottom and a corner punch on the top to create pretty edges. I keep the decoration fairly simple by just adding a silver butterfly and some purple gems.

I've used some white fibres at the top to create a tassle.

New Home Card

I made this card for my FIL who has just moved into a new house. The papers are from Papermania It's A Man's World pack and the sentiment is a freebie for Netty's blog.

The image is from Di's Digi's and is coloured with promarkers, I've added some glossy accents to the top of the mushroom house, the window in the tree and the owls eyes. I have cut the image so that small parts of it overlap onto the navy mount.

 I've used this cute owl from Limited Runs for my card he's from the Whootie Owl set. I have paper pierced him. I've used a freebie digital stamp for the branch it sorry I didn't log where it came from. I have used my woodware punch to create my flowers and added a green pearl to the centre of each. The sentiment is a stamp that came free with a magazine. The papers are all MME Wild Aspargus which I have had for ages and never used.

Sweet Little Fairy

 Another card that I made a while ago and never blogged. The papers are from Pink Petticoat, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, I've used a Fiskers border punch across the middle. I have embossed the blue mat behind the image with my divine swirls folder.

 This little cutie is of course another LOTV stamps and she is coloured with promarkers with touches of glamour dust. I 've used some liquid pearls on her buttons and in the centre of her flowers on her head. I've coloured the edges of the flowers with a promarker to give them a touch of colour.

Thank You Card

 I made this card a while ago but never got round to blogging them so thought since I haven't done anything crafty for almost 2 weeks I would post it now. The image is LOTV Thomas with flowers coloured of course with promarkers. The spotty paper I think is from Dovecraft Back to Basics pack layered over some grey paper. I've used my Fiskers corner punch on the corners of the spotty paper. To finish it off I've added some pink roses and some small flowers which I coloured grey with my promarkers.
