Faux Techniques at Incy Wincy

Good morning Monday has come around again which means it's time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy where this week we want to see Faux Techniques on your project and we are sponsored by the fab Doodle Pantry, who kindly gave the DT some images to use. I used their forget me not image on my card and choose to use the uncoloured version so I could colour it with my promarkers. To make the faux metal back ground I simply took a sheet of card the right size for my card blank covered it with versa-mark ink and then sprinkled silver embossing powder onto it and heated it with my heat gun, I did this 2 or 3 times until I had a good coverage on my card. The next stage was to run the embossed card through the cuttlebug with my divine swirls folder. I rubbed some rub n buff in ebony to give it a slightly aged look. I still wasn't quite happy with it at this stage so I heated it with my heat gun again which slightly melted the embossed lines from the folder which in my opinion made it look more metal like.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
My Time To Craft - No Design Papers
Classy Cards n Such - Make A Background
