S J Crafts - 1,2,3

Gosh I don't know where this year is going to another month has passed and it's time for the new challenge at S J Crafts this months challenge is 1, 2, 3. Here's some ideas from Sarah for you : A child's 1st, 2nd or 3rd birthday, use one (or all) of the number(s) in your title, bullet point your journalling using 1,2,3 .... sure you will come up with more!!!  And the added Extra is: Use 3 of something! eg: 3 buttons, 3 photos, 3 colours!!
I found this one a bit harder and as a card maker had to think outside the box, and then I saw this tutorial and everything fell into place. I've made a mini book of my 3 babies from toilet roll tubes, I have used some of the gorgeous papers from MME Miss Caroline Howdy Doody to cover the tubes. The front and back tubes are glued shut. The three in the middle have been left open so they can hold a tag with all the birth details on. I used kraft card to cut the tags from and added the details were added using Letraset Safemat, to keep the tags flat I added just a couple of small punched butterflies with some liqid pearls down their bodies.
.
On the left pages of the book I have added a punched border as my paper wasn't quite big enough to go round the tubes and embellished with a flower and again a punched butterfly. The writing is again Letraset Safemat and is the meaning's of their names. On the right hand pages I added a photo of them at a few weeks old, more flowers and butterflies and their names which have been cut from DP on my cuttlebug. On the front page I have used a digi stamp from 2 Peas In A Bucket printed onto Letraset Safemat and colored with promarkers. Again the letters for Babies is cut on my cuttlebug and a couple more punched butterflies and another flower.

All the ribbon on the tags and the book ring was originally white and has been coloured to match with my promarkers.
I didn't want to leave the last page blank so found a quote which I thought was appropriate.

Don't forget to pop by the shop blog and check out the other fab inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter this ito the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Alter It
Sentimental Sundays - Go Green or Recycle ( Recycled element is toilet roll tubes)
Ladybird Crafts Ink - Anything Goes
