Sponsored by Fantastic Ribbons (Prize: 4 rolls of ribbon) and Pink Gem Designs (Prize: 3 digis or a set of 3 digis)

The Dt were lucky enough to be given an image each from Pink Gem I choose this cute owl.
I decided to do something with the pack of make your own coasters that I bought in a Hobby Craft sale 2 maybe 3 years ago thing they would make great presents and then promptly buried them in my drawer of projects to do. I decided that this one would be for my craft desk and thought the image was very apt.
A sideways view so you can see the depth. The papers are from First Edition Isabella pack and the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and has been coloured with Promarkers.
A close up of the image sorry about the fuzzy photo didn't think to take photos before I closed the coaster up so this is the view through the glass. I have coloured the owl with promarkers and stuck tiny gems on the crown and added some stickles to the ovals.

I would like to enter my coaster into the following challenges:

Nostalgia cards

Here's a couple of cards I managed to make whilst my hand was bad I've used papers form MME Nostalgia which Sarah from S J Crafts gave me back in May for both these cards. I've tried to show how versitile these papers are as from the cover of the pad they appear to be quite girly lots of pinks and yellows so I've made two male cards.

I've also used Glossy Accents on the balloon and Perfect Pearls on the bow tie and collar. Images are both digi stamps from Digi Stamp Boutique.

I would like to enter the elephant card into the following challenges:
Craft Your Days Away - Shades of grey and 1 Other
Card Makin Mama's - 1,2,3, challenge
I would like to enter the dog card into the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenge - Men Only
Ruby Rainbow Challenge - Cute Animals

And both cards - Digi Stamp Boutique - Customers Competition

Teachers Gifts Part 2

What happens when you take a plain and boring notebook and add some pretty papers?

This!!
These are the second part to the teachers presents I made them a pretty notebook and matching pen each. This first one uses papers from MME Howdy Doody, along with some pretty seam binding and lace from my stash. the buttefly is and x cut punch and the flowers are some white ones which I coloured to match. The gems have all been hand stuck down I used the waste part of my swirl die cut to give me the shape.

The papers on this one are from MME Blush pad and the flower is die cut using Tim Holtz tattered florals die. I've edged everything on this one with crystal stickles. I apologise for the photo again it was taken late evening so although the ribbon looks as if it doesn't match in real life it does.

Teacher Gift Part 1

This is the first part of the gifts that I made for Aimee's Teachers this year. I bought some small packs of Thorntons chocolates and then made some gift boxes to put them in. I followed these instructions to make these very simple boxes from Kraft Card and then prettied them up using some punches and ribbon.

I've used a Fiskers border punch on this one and a tiny woodware butterfly punch, The papers are from MME Howdy Doody 6 x 6 pad and the sentiment is a freebie stamp that came with a magazine ages ago.
Side view for you
This is the second box sorry about the photo had to take it late evening as I only finished it the night before Aimee took it to school. This time I have used a x cut border punch and MME Blush papers

Lets Party at Incy Wincy

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy is
Let's Party
 and we are sponsored by

I decided to make a tag this week. For the base of the tag I die cut two stars out of some DCWV  rockstar paper.
The image is from our sponsor and has been coloured with promarkers and a sakura pen fo the silver bits. I added a piece of silver ribbon behind her to add some interest as it looked a little blank.

Fot the sentiment i cut another piece of paper and added a sticky sentiment which I bought ages ago and never used I then rubbed pink foil over it so that it stuck to the word.

The Olympics at S J Crafts

Time for a new challenge at S J Crafts and this month we have gone for the theme
The Olympics

Here's some ideas from Sarah to help you out. Did you see the olympic torch relay? - you could scrap the photos you took! Have your children had a school sports day? - Show us your sporty photos ... football, rugby, tennis, skipping or playing catch on the beach or in the garden!! The Olympics will be held in London so any photos of London will be suitable. You could use the colours or rings of the logo as a design element! Dig out your sporty rubber stamps for your cards.
And the prize this month for our  winner is a 6 x 6 Pad (of the winners choice from the shop!)
This month instead of a card I've gone with an altered notebook & pen which I made for my youngest daughter Aimee who loves to sit a write. I bought a plain black notebook from Wilkinsons and transformed it with some Portabobello Road papers from Papermania. The borders are punched with a Fiskers punch. The ribbons are all from Crafty Ribbons, I had to colour the blue one with my promarker to match as it was a pale blue colour.

The image is from Simply Betty stamps and is called Gymnast Sally, I choose this image as Aimee love to do gymnastics at school and can't wait to watch the gymnasts on the Olympics. The image is coloured as usual with my promarkers, I'm really pleased with the way I managed to get the skirt to look transparent. Whilst I was cutting the image out I cut thought the ribbon that she is twirling so have stuck some real ribbon on instead. I added a pearl to her bow in her hair to hide the skull that was on the image.
I added Aimee's name with some alpha stickers which I originally coloured blue but decided after edging all the papers with gold stickles to glitter them up too. The little pen is one I bought as a pack of six I added a piece of matching paper around the top of the pen and tied a piece or ribbon to the clip.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge - Olympic Games/Sports
Saturday Challenge - Olympic or Sporty
Craft Punked - Olympic Games
