Thinking of You Butterfly

This card was for an order, the lady wanted a card with butterflys and a thinking of you sentiment.  I used my Marianne buttefly die which is great for these sorts of cards I cut two butterflys one from the yellow DP which I used for the base of the card and then I cut the top one from white card, which I then inked with Wild Honey distress ink. The die cut is from a set of x cut nesting dies and again has been inked with the distress ink, I used the largest of these dies to cut the corners on the yellow paper. The border is punched with an x cut punch and then I have ruffled some seam binding along it, with a piece of velvet ribbon to hide the tape. A few white pearls to finish it off.
Sideways view and then the inside some more border punches and some tiny butterflys punched with a woodware punch.

Frogs & Snails and puppy dog tails

Good morning time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy and this week our theme is
Frogs & Snails and puppy dog tails (BOYS)
We have two fantastic sponsors for you this week
I have used this fab image from Kenny K which is just perfect for a teenage boys card coloured of course with my promarkers. The papers have been dug out from the back of my paper drawer and are from Basic Grey I think it might have been the Oliver pad. I've kept the card quite CAS and just let the papers do the talking the only embellishment I've added a bottle cap sentiment. I've squashed the bottle cap in my cuttlebug to almost turn it inside out stamped the sentiment onto some co-ordinating paper which I've then stuck into the bottle capand filled with glossy accents.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Teddy Bo ATC's

ATC's I haven't made any of these for a long time and then I spotted a swap on one of the crafty facebook groups so thought I would join in the theme this month was Cute & Cuddly instantly I thought of a teddy bear, then all I had to do was decide on which teddy bear.
I settled on these gorgeous bears from Teddy Bo which at £1.65 for all 3 images I consider a bargin. I have coloured them with my promarkers keeping the colours soft. The edges are inked with distress inks I used Antique Linen, Tattered Rose & Wethered Wood.
The papers are all from Prima Fairy Belle 6 x 6 pad and I've teamed them with Kraft card. The flowers are punched from Kraft and the DP with a woodware punch, the larger ones I added a button to the centre and the smaller ones have pearls.

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:

Ready Teddy Go - Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge - Cute as a Button

Summer At S J Crafts

My apologies if you have already seen this post for some reason blogger didn't want to save it as a draft and kept publishing it!!

Time for a new challenge at S J Crafts and this time round our theme is Summer Time. My card is a bit different to normal for me but while I was sat thinking about what I could do I came up with the idea of pinwheels/ windmills which I used to love playing with when I was litle they remind me of trips to the seaside.  I have used Echo Park So Happy Together papers for the windmill and the blue layer and of course Kraft card for the base ( how did I ever manage before Kraft card!). Now I know the blue edge looks distressed in my photo but it's actually a little bit of stickles.  I used my cutter bee bug to mark the zig zag and then joinined the dots with a fineliner.
I hope you'll join in with our challenge the winner will recieve a pack of mixed embellishments.

Beach Days at Incy Wincy

It's Monday again which means its time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy which this week is
Beach Days
and we are sponsored by The Digi Garden
I hope you all been enjoying the lovely weather we have had the last couple of days? We are lucky enough to leave on the coast and had a lovely day on the beach on Saturday. The kids spent nearly all day in the sea on their body boards. Here's a photo of my youngest daughter posing with her body board.

Not much to say about my card this week as I dug the papers out from the back of my paper box and haven't a clue what make they are. The image is coloured with my promarkers and I have paper pieced his shorts and the stripe on the towel. The towel it's self is all fluffy as I have used green flock to cover it with.

Thanks A Bunch

I realised a couple of days ago that I hadn't posted the cards I made for Aimee's teachers yet so here is one of them. I've used this cute Fizzy Moon stamp I love these stamps they are so nice to colour and can be used for many different occassions. I've used pro markers of course to colour it and distress ink to gently ink the edges. The papers are MME Lost & Found Blush which have all been matted onto dark brown card.

I decided to decorate the inside of the card as well which I kept quite simple with just a piece of patterned paper with I stamped a flower border along the top and bottom and thankyou in the middle.

Birthday Balloons

This is the card I made for my MIL's birthday last week not entirely happy with this one but was a bit short of time. The cat is from Penny black he is stamped onto Kraft card and then coloured with promarkers, I think on reflection that he looks a bit flat and perhaps I should have decoupaged him tho give the card some height. The balloons have been paper pierced. I used a lovely new pack of Echo Park papers called Be Happy which I won along with the Penny Black stamps in some candy.

Just a Sentiment At Creative Craft Challenge

Time for another challenge at Creative Craft Challenge and today our challenge is
Just A Sentiment
So no images this time and we have two fantastic sponsors for you
&
Crafty Indivduals
I decided to make a start on my christmas cards as it only 20 weeks till christmas!!!!
I have seen and admired many acetate christmas cards but never had a go at one as the acetate I had was to thin, then a couple of weeks ago I bought about 10 packs of Acetate which was thick enough from work well it would have been rude not to at 10p a pack.
I used my nesties to die cut and emboss 1 shape from white card and one from a pearlised silver/aqua colour I have printed the digi sentiment on to the white piece and then stamped silver snowflakes around the edge. The large snowflake is one I rescued off a christmas card at some point and then the small ones have been punched from white card and had a tiny gem stuck in the middle. I tied some white organza ribbon around the spine. Inside I have cut another 2 shapes to write on and stuck them down in line with the ones on the fronts.

Sugar And Spice And All Things Nice

Good morning as it's Monday it's time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy and this week we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy and our theme this week is
Sugar & Spice & All Things Nice (Girly)
Now before I go any further I have to tell you I'm in love with this card it just kinda fell together.
My DP was just a plain piece of card which I have inked with Spun Sugar distress ink and then stamped over the top with some old basic grey swirl stamps in the same colour. The spotty paper is from Pink Petticoat. the little butterflies are punched with a woodware punch and the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
I have coloured Molly with my promarkers and gently inked the edges again with distress ink.
The 2 hearts have both been ink the front one lightly and the back one more heavily, I've then added crackle accents to them both and then one dry added some small gems to the back one and wound some gold cotton around the front one.
