Creative Craft World - Summer holiday challenge

This fortnights challenge at Creative Craft World was choosen by Mel and she wanted us to think outside the box and make something different to our usual cards and scrapbook pages with a summer holiday theme. We have a super prize for you this time of 4 packs of promarkers, Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter up for grabs.
We were lucky enough to get some of the Echo Park Sweet Summertime to work with, the colours are fab so summery and bright. I have used Daisy from sugar nellie as the my image she has been coloured with promarkers with a tiny bit of stickles added to the flowers. I then stuck her to the front cover of a cheap notebook form Wilkinson. I then cut a circle aperture into the Echo Park paper and puches out some flowers, leaves, swirls and a butterfly from matching bazill and stuck these around the aperture. The flowers each have a tiny flat backed pearl added to them and some stickles on each petal, the butterfly has some tiny gems down the middle and stickles on the embossed part of the wings. I then place the aperture over Daisy and stuck it to the front page of the notebook.
I have used a Fun in the Sun Stripe Sunrise ribbon from Crafty Ribbons which I cut down and tied around the spiral bind.
To answer a question in the comments this is how I removed the cover, I took the cover off the binding by gently prising the spiral apart and slipping the front and back covers off. After i had covered them I then punched holes through the paper so the spiral could go back through then sliped them back onto the spiral and gently squeezed it back together.

Don't forget to stop by and see the other DT's work as there are some fantastic projects to inspire you.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 91 - Apertures
Sir Stampalot Challenges - Lazy Hazy Days of Summer
The Creative Cottage - challenge 18 - No cards allowed

Stunning creation, I love it. Can I please ask, did you remove the cover to get the papers on or is there some magical method involved? x
