A Birthday Pesent

I came up with the idea of altering a clock for my DH birthday, so then it was the question of what to put on it I knew it had to have a dragon on it my first thought was a large dragon across the centre of the clock but then I spotted a card on a blog with a animal holding a number so set about searching to see if I could find something similar with dragons. Which is when I came across Lynn's blog, some of you will know her as Spyder from her other blog, she had Darcy dragon with a number 7 so I emailed her to see if she could do something similar for me but with the numbers 3,6,9,12 and didn't she come up trumps they are fab thank you once again Lynn.
This is a picture of the clock with out the silver frame and glass, although the background paper looks white in the photo it is Basic Grey paper and has a hint of grey & green to it. Unfortunately I could take the clock hands off on this clock so had to cut the circle of paper to the middle and slide it round you can just see the join going up to the number 12. Each of the other number are silver die cuts that I bought off ebay and mounted on some Basic Grey green paper that I cut into circles with my nesties.

Each of these numbers have been coloured with promarkers and then I used a Sakura pen to add some sparkle to the wings which doesn't really show up in the photos.

I hope you like it, I'm really pleased with it there are a few things I would change if I was to do it again but I think DH will like it.

Pink, Black & Skulls

It's Shannon's birthday on Saturday and as always seems to be the way these days I'm rushing to get everything done, and to top it all off I had no idea what to put on her cards so I've gone with an emo theme.
I've used this fab image Devilish Donna from Kenny K, I have coloured her with promarkers and used a little stickles on her wings. The papers are a fab set of emo papers but I csn't find the link to the website. I don't have any scalloped oval nesties so have used som paper lace coloured with a dark grey promarker to edge my oval.  The sentiment is from craftwork cards and the ribbon is from crafty ribbons.
I decided to turn this card into an easel card and finished the bottom off with an oval onto which I've stuck her age, can't believe my little girl is going to be 14 where does time go, and then just some clear gems alongthe edge.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

This week we are sponsored by the fab StampFairy who's images are so cute. Gerda the owner very kindly gave this image to the DT to use and the the fab prize on offer is 3 images of the winners choice from StampFairy.

I have coloured my image with promarkers adding some stickles to the wings. I have used some yellow cardstock for the base of my card and the cut a circle from some craft paper from Craftwork cards which has silver flowers all over it and then cut another circle from some yellow paper I found in my scrap drawer.
These flowers are white papermania ones coloured with a promarker and the on the middle one I have used a card candy again from craftwork cards and on the other 2 I have used a clear button with a bit of yellow twine through it. The stems and leaves are ribbon from Crafty Ribbons again I have coloured it with my promarkers. The butterfly is punched with an x-cut punch with a couple of glitter dots added.

The white background has been embosses on my cuttlebug and the green and orange card is from my stash, I''m really loving these lime greens at the moment and have another project to show you soon where I have used them again.
