Guest Designer at MAWTT

I got a lovely email from Hazel last week asking me to be Guest Designer at MAWTT for the next month, of course I said yes. So this is my first card for them, this weeks challenge is Blooming Marvelous and they are sponsored by Bunny Zoes Crafts.

I have used some gorgeous First Edition papers for this card these ones are from the Isabelle pad, my image is a Belle's n Whistles stamp which I'm ashamed to say is the fir time it has been inked up. I have coloured her with promarkers and flexmarkers. My flowers have been coloured to match the papers. I've added some seam binding along the bottom of the card and tied a bow finished with a gem brad.

This is the first of the 3 cards I need to make for Rhys's birthday at the beginning of next month, I'm so pleased with this card I love it for once it has turned out how I imagined it to. The image is from The Paper Shelter and is called Cockatoo Rules!, I have coloured him with my promarkers. The papers are some that I've had for a while but not got round to using they are MME Lime Twist Out Of The Blue I have matted them onto some dark grey card. I've used another piece of the cotton tape thats again been in my stash ages unused this time its a dark grey colour. The arror was cut by hand from some red card stock and the letters were cut on my cuttlebug. The sentiment and card blank are both from Craftwork Cards.

I have made a cute little notebook for my hand bag using this fab teddy image. The papers are some old ones from MME matted onto dark grey cardstock and edges with some stickles. I've coloured the teddy with my promarkers and added some glitter and glossy accents to his heart.

S J Crafts 1st Challenge!!!!!

Today marks the first challenge at S J Crafts it's an easy peasy one this month the theme is "Happy" with an optional extra of using a punch.

so this could be a Happy New Year layout, or take a photo of something that makes you happy and scrap it, use the title "Happiness is .... " or maybe a "Happy Birthday" card a "Happy Anniversary" card or a stamped image that portrays happiness .... or anything else that "Happy" inspires you to create.

The "added extra" this month is "use a punch" ... so this could be a border punch or a regular punch, it's up to you!

Closing date for entries is: 15th February at 1pm.

For my card I have used paper from MME Breeze patterned paper, matted onto some Kraft cardstock, I used the fab image from Digi Doodle Shop coloured with promarkers and layered onto some oval's cut with my nesties. I've turned the top corner down and fastened it with a brown brad to add a bit of interest. I used some cotton tape ribbon in orange to match my image across the middle of my card layered on too yet more Kraft card which has been punched with my Martha Stewart arch lattice punch. The top part of the sentiment is printed onto some Kraft and then cut out and the bottom sentiment was printed directly onto the patterened paper.

Bold & Bright at Incy Wincy

Gosh it's turned so cold here this week, I really hate the cold just want to stay wrapped up in bed all the time anyway onto this weeks challenge at Incy Wincy is Bold & Bright, we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this week . I have used Back to School Britney on my card, she is as usual coloured with promarkers, I added some faux stitching around the image panel with a black gel pen and some silver peeloff stars. The papers are digi ones from Summertime Designs, I've teamed them with some lovely bright red card, ribbon and gems to make the card pop. The sentiment tag is from Craftwork cards to which I added a peeloff silver star.

Vintage at Incy Wincy

I decided to recover a diary for my hubby to use, I suppose I should have taken before photos but I forgot. I created this faux leather look by embossing some brown card with the mesh texture cuttlebug embossing folder and then random inking over it with brushed corduroy distress ink. Once that was done I covered the who sheet with vesramark ink and clear embossing powder and heated with a heat gun I love the results.

I have used this fab image of Rupert in his card which I coloured in Sepia tones with my promarkers, I then fussy cut him and mounted him onto a nestie cut shape from some MME paper, I used a promarker to edge the shape. Stuck some peeloff numbers under the image and covered the whole lot with glossy accents.

One I forgot

Found this card that I had forgot to blog from the beginning of December, Aimee had another birthday party to go to and placed an order for another card lol and for a 6 year old she's very specific about what she wants on her friends card bless her so this one had to be purple, with the bear that I used on her card which was to be coloured white ( we comprimised on the bear being grey) and some sparkle.

Tha papers are from Dovecrafts Back to Basics 2 pack matted onto some purple cardstock. The image is the cute Bea from Teddy Bo coloured with promarkers. I've used glamour dust on the wand and the wings for sparkle.

I have used this fab image called Sally Stitches, she is coloured with promarkers and I added a tiny bit of glossy accents to the skull on the cake. The purple paper is one I downloaded a while ago as a freebie I have highlighted the word love with glossy accents. The black is a scrap of basic grey from my scraps drawer. I've added a couple of black dewdrops around the oval, all the edges have been distressed with my distressing tool.

I wanted to add something to the corner but didn't have a black metal corner so I have used a copper coloured one sanded down with some sandpaper and then heat embossed it with black glittery embossing powder, I'm really pleased with the way this came out. i added a quick flower to the card I cut two circles one from black and one from purple distressed the edges and then scrunched them up and added a black gem brad to the centre.

A Couple of Eggberts

5 Cards The Same But Different!

Ok before we start let me say sorry this post is rather picture heavy, 5 cards all using the same layout, so I will keep this bit short and just give you the basic details.

The penguin with a christmas tree image is from Di's Digi's, the second penguin and eggbert are from Bugaboo, all have been coloured with promarkers. All the glitter bits are glamour dust. I have used my swiss dots and snowflake embossing folders for the backgrounds. The snowflake border is punched with a woodware border punch. The large snowflake is a sissix die and the smaller one is a woodware punch and all are held together with a brad from my stash. The sentiments are from Craftwork Cards. I have inked all the edges with either gold or silver ink just to pull each card together.

Christmas Robins

This image was a freebie over at Spyders Corner a couple of weeks ago, it did have a moon behind them but I cut that off when I cut the image out. (hope you don't mind Lynn) I have coloured the image with promarkers and used glamour dust to make it sparkle. I believe the papers might be MME but I'm not 100%. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one stamped direct on to some cream card with gold ink.

I have coloured my image with promarkers and flexmarkers, I've added some sparkle with a Sakura stardust pen and used glossy accents on the clock face. I've used the name of the image as the sentiment which is held into place with 2 small brads. I tried to keep the rest of the card simple to show the image off, just some squares of green card doen the side and some gorgeous gold ribbon.

I decided to speed up the process of making christmas cards by making several of the same design at the same time, I'm not very good at batch making cards as I get bored very quickly so I have changed details such as the colours, or images. Here's 2 of the cards I made, both the same layout and images just that I ran out of mirror card so had to use sparkly silver film under the second one.

The image is from Fred She Said and is coloured with promarkers. I added white flock to the trims on her hat and coat. Swiss dots and a snowflake embossing folder have been used on the circles behind the image and the sentiments are from Craftwork Cards.

Non Traditional Colours at Incy Wincy

We are sponsored by Prairie Fairy who have some great images, I have used a snowman image from them for my cards.

I could decide which colour to do my card so I did 2 ( plus I'm so far behind I need to be making twice as many as I can and seem to spend so long deciding on colours and a layout at the moment that I never get anything done.)

The images are coloured with pro markers and then I've added sparkle with some glamour dust. The papers are from a pack that I bought last year and are embossed and glittered not that it shows in the photo.

The snowflakes are punched out of white glitter card with a tiny snowflake punched form the DP and a gem added to the centre.

The sentiment is from Craftwork cards and the ribbon is from my local fabric shop coloured to match with pro markers.

Hello Kitty Card

Here's a card I made for one of Aimee's friends whose birthday party was last weekend. I've used 2 circle card blanks to create an easel card covered them in Kraft card . The patterned paper is from MME Lime Twist.

I have paper pieced Hello Kitty's dress and balloons with some scraps of MME paper stuck a glittery no 6 on one of the balloons and covered them in glossy accents.

I've cut the name on my cuttlebug and coated the letters with crystal stickles and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Another Wee Stamp

Here's another of Aimee's birthday cards, I have used this gorgeous fairy from Wee Stamps coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers. The papers are some I'd forgotton about they are from a forever friends spring pad, I've matched them with a daisy embossing folder.

I've added a selection of flowers which have all been coloured with flexmarkers although they look white in the photo they are actually pale ppink & purple. Some pretty lace across the middle of the card with some thin ribbon threaded through it and tied in a bow on the side.

Free For All at Creative Craft World

This weeks challenge at Creative Craft Challenge is Free for All and we have two fantastic sponsors this week, Meljen's & Letraset.

I have made a set of four CAS cards using images from Meljen's, some were given to the DT to use and some were previous freebie images. I have cut parts of the image out so that the backing card showed through, and then added some colour with promarkers. I've used glamour dust on all the images apart from the snowman and added glossy accents to some parts of the image. On the snowman I've used black glitter glue on his hat. I added the sentiment on the computer when I printed the images and then added the black line with my promarker afterwards.

I've finally managed to finish a card it's only taken me all week seems Mr Mojo has done a bunk. Whilst I'm fairly happy with the final card I can't believe how long it has taken me to get it done. I have used this cute Bea image from Teddy Bo, this is the first one I have bought but think I will be going back for some more as they are so cute. I have coloured her with promarkers and in real life the colouring looks far better than it does in the photo. The papers are all digi ones from Pink Petticoat and the butterflys are punched out of shiny pink card and pink vellum with some gems added to them.

I chose to us the last line of the tic tac toe board so I have used faux stitching, a metal brad and some ribbon. I have used this fab image from them which is called Angelic Teen to make a calendar for Shannon for next year. I have coloured her with promarkers and added some gold glitter to the edges of her wings with a sakura pen. Not sure wher the DP is from as it's been in my stash forever. I added some punched butterflys in black with tiny black gems on their bodies. The flowers have again been coloured with promarkers and held together with a brad. I run some ribbon across the base of the paper and mounted a calendar underneath it, I added some faux stitching around the calendar.

After seeing a fab luminary on Jak's blog I decided to have a go at one. I'm really pleased with how this has turned out especially as it's the first time I have attempted anything like this.

The paper is I think MME but it's from my scrap drawer so not sure, I've used a woodware border punch and added some silver ribbon form hobby craft around both the top and bottom. A little bow secured with a brad on the bottom half and 3 punched snowflakes on the top to decorate it.

The image is a digi from Di's Digi's and is printed onto Vellum and coloured with promarkers which was a little tricky and much easier on the smaller area's, so if you are going to attempt something like this don't choose an image with large areas of one colour. I've used distress stickles on the trims on his hat and a snowwriter for under his feet and the falling snow.

Below you can see it lit up with a battery tea light which I got from Wilkinson's for 50p. Aimee has already decided that this is going in her room for christmas so I guess I may be making a couple more of these.

Here's another Christmas card that I made with a stamp that I bought off Facebook ( It's so not a good thing that you can buy craft stuff on facebook as my bank account will tell you!), it's from Inky Impressions and coloured with promarkers. The papers are from MME 12 Days of Christmas and I have teamed them with some cream card which I have embossed with my swiss dots folder. I've added glamour dust to her scarf and round all the edges of the card and die cuts. The sentiment is from Anitas and the snowflakes are punched with a red gem in the centre.

Christmas Teddy 3

Here's the third card I have made from this Kanban set of Teddy stamps, I have coloured him with promarkers and used crystal stickles on the furry bits of his hat. The papers are an old DCWV pad. I have added some faux stitching around the panels with a black gel pen which I have gone over with a sakura stardust pen so I have sparkly stitching. I added a die cut star again covered in stickles love these stars and this is the last one I have will need to try and find some more.

Well I had the whole house to myself today so decided to spend the day crafting and managed to get the huge total of 2 cards made lol really need to spend less time faffing around wish I wasn't such a perfectionist at times like this I get so much more done. I've used my gorgeous new stamp that I won from Belle's & Whistles a few weeks ago. I have coloured her with promarkers and flexmarkers adding just the smallest amount of stickles to the bears heart and bow. The papers are MME Blush arn't they gorgeous I really love the papers in this pad. The flowers and pearls are from my stash and the sentiment is fom Craftwork Cards, I've used the antique white flexmarkers on the sentiment and flowers to make them more of a creamy colour to go with the papers.

Here's another card with the Kanban teddies that I coloured whilst I was poorly again coloured with promarkers and Crystal stickles for the furry bits on his hat and coat. I've kept this one quite simple using the paper as a backdrop to the stamp and just adding 3 snowflakes down the left handside.

Whilst I was poorly I spent some of my time colouring some images ready to make some cards up. I inked up this set of Kanban teddy stamps that I bought recently and coloured them with promarkers and crystals stickles. This is the first of the 3 stamps in the set. I teamed some paper from DCWV with some Kraft card and a bit of green cardstock. I've embossed the green card with my snowflake folder.

I've kept this card really simple, the image which is called Umbrella Love is from Tiffany Doodles, I have coloured the hearts with a red promarker and glittered some of the hearts with Stickles and glossed some of them with Glossy Accents. The actual umbrella I have left plain apart from some Faux stitching around the panels. I have embossed the panel behind the image with a cuttlebug embossing folder and matted it onto some red card, tied a piece of ribbon around the panel and stamped a sentiment straight onto the card blank.

A Tilda Card

This card was for one of Aimee's little friends who's party was this afternoon, I had my orders from Aimee it had to have a princess, be pink and sparkly what else do 6 year old girls want. So I pulled out my princess Tilda stamp and got started. I have used promarkers and flexmarkers to colour her I am loving the pastel shades of the flexmarkers. I've used lots of crystal stickles to give her some sparkle and added a couple of tiny gems on the buckles of her shoes. The papers are MME sorry can't remember which pad and the card blank is from Craftwork Cards as is the sentiment. The butterflies have been punched from MME paper for the bottom layer and then I have added a top layer puched from vellum, I used liguid pearls for their bodies and given them a trail of gems.

Here's a quick christmas card I made before I was poorly, I used this cute James the Bear stamp from Lili of the Valley coloured of course with promarkers. I added some crystal stickles to his tinsel and glossy accents to the star and the baubles. I think I used a sakura stardust pen on the star under the glossy accents. The DP is from the free MME pack which came with a craft magazine. I punched the red paper with my fiskers border punch and added some little ribbon tags and a sentiment from craft work cards to finish it off.

I have used a scalloped card blank from Craftwork Cards for the base of my card I have edged it with some glamour dust. I embossed some pearlesant white card with my swiss dots folder.

Centre Step Card

I've made this centre step card for my FIL birthday, I used these instructions to make the base, so easy you wouldn't believe. The DP is from a paper cellar pad.

I've used this incredibly cute stamp set from Kanban this one is called Wooly Bears - Hamish. I've coloured him with promarkers and used a sakura silver pen on his buttons. This set comes with loads of accessorie stamps so I have used the thistle stamp to decorate the side panels, I stamped directly onto the DP and coloured them with my promarkers.

I have made a topper for a bag of halloween sweets. I have used a scallopped square cut from black card folded in half to make the topper which is then taped onto the back of sweets.

I've used this cute little witch from Digital Delights and coloured her with promarkers adding some black glitter to the bat in her hair. I then mounted her on some foam pads onto some circles cut with my nesties. I added some writing and faux stitching with a white gel pen.

Sorry my post is late I forgot all about writing it, my excuse is I'm not very well, I've got a nasty chest infection and suspected pleurisy so I'm feeling very sorry for myself at the moment. Here's a card I made for my lovely blogging friend Debbie who's birthday is today. I have used a Fizzy Moon stamp colored with Promarkers & Flexmarkers. I added some sparkle to the flowers with distress stickles. The paper is more form the gorgeous Paris pad from MME I have distressed the edges of all the paper with my distressing tool and then gone round all the edges with distress stickles. Here's another stamp that I won a while ago which had never been inked up, this one is an Belles & Whistles stamp, she has been coloured with promarkers & flexmarkers and I added a tiny bit of glossy accents to the hearts on her necklace and envelope. A quick get well card made with my new MME Blush papers which I have to say are gorgeous and very strokable lol the sort you don't want to cut into. Well this challenge certainly got me thinking as it was not something I ever really had a go at so I did so research and omg that made it worse there are some beautiful parchment cards out there they are real works of art. I decided to keep it simple as I didn't have any of the tools for parchment craft I have used a embossing tool and a ruler to create the lines and then used the embossing tool to create the dots. I've used some brads to attach the parchment to the card and tied a spotty blue ribbon around. The image is a Penny Black sticker which I have had for an age and never used.

Distressing at Incy Wincy

I have used this cute image from Stamp Fairy called Barry Spooky Bats. I decided to have a change from making a card and made this little wall hanging from a beer mat.

I printed the image off twice once on the grey digi paper and once onto white card, which I coloured with my promarkers and cut out and mounted onto the grey one with foam pads. I gave the bats little red gem eyes to make them a bit more spooky.

Now I know from the first picture my wall hanging doesn't look very distressed but I have used my paper distress tool all around the edges and inked them with black ink think you can see it in the next photo. I also used some crackle glossy accents on the letters which i cut on my cuttlebug.

I used some beading wire to make the hanging bit which is threaded through some eylets set into the beer mat and attached a lace bow with another little bat.

I have made 2 cards for this challenge the first one is an idea that I got from one of this months craft magazines that I only buy for the free gifts on the front!

I made a little christmas tree out of buttons I took 3, small brown buttons,12 assorted sized green buttons and threaded them onto some craft wire attached a blingy star to the top. I used my nesties to cut a hole in my card blank so I could hang the tree from it.

My second card used a stamp set from Doodle Pantry, this set contained several coloured and uncoloured images, papers and sentiments. I've used one of the coloured images, papers and a sentiment, I used my nesties to cut the image out and added a button tied with some twine to the corner.

On the sentiment I added some gems to the wording.

Tiddly Inks

I've used Fairy Fae Catches A Star form Tiddly Inks on my bookmark. I have coloured her with promarkers adding some sparkle with a sakura pen.

The DP is from Back To Basics 2 and is layered onto some purple cardstock. I have used a border punch at the bottom and a corner punch on the top to create pretty edges. I keep the decoration fairly simple by just adding a silver butterfly and some purple gems.

I've used some white fibres at the top to create a tassle.

I made this card for my FIL who has just moved into a new house. The papers are from Papermania It's A Man's World pack and the sentiment is a freebie for Netty's blog.

The image is from Di's Digi's and is coloured with promarkers, I've added some glossy accents to the top of the mushroom house, the window in the tree and the owls eyes. I have cut the image so that small parts of it overlap onto the navy mount.

Another card that I made a while ago and never blogged. The papers are from Pink Petticoat, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, I've used a Fiskers border punch across the middle. I have embossed the blue mat behind the image with my divine swirls folder.

This little cutie is of course another LOTV stamps and she is coloured with promarkers with touches of glamour dust. I 've used some liquid pearls on her buttons and in the centre of her flowers on her head. I've coloured the edges of the flowers with a promarker to give them a touch of colour.

I made this card a while ago but never got round to blogging them so thought since I haven't done anything crafty for almost 2 weeks I would post it now. The image is LOTV Thomas with flowers coloured of course with promarkers. The spotty paper I think is from Dovecraft Back to Basics pack layered over some grey paper. I kept my card very simple this week and have used butterfly die to cut 2 butterflies out of some Basic Grey paper to create the main focus of my card I have embellished the butterfly with some clear gems.
For the resist technique I have stamped a swirl stamp with clear ink and then heat embossed it with clear powder. I've then inked over it with pink distress ink and added a few gems to the swirls.

For my project I have made a post it note holder I followed the instructions from this blog and just changed the dimensions to fit my post it note pad.

I've finely got round to inking this little cutie up that I bought a while ago from Tam's, it is of course a Lili of the Valley stamp called Maisie Two Balloons. She is coloured with promarkers and chalks and I've given the balloons a coat of glossy accents.

Another christmas card and it's only August. I colored this cute teddy from Lili of the Valley with promarkers and coloured pencils, I'm really pleased with my colouring on this image. I 've added glamour dust to the white bits on his hat.

For my project I have decorated a little jar which I have filled with mints. I have used this cute image from Robyn Fetish Designs that I one a while ago it's called Paul Penguins Sleighing, I have coloured him with promarkers and added some crystal stickles to him. I've cut the circles with my nesties and added some more stickles to the edges.

This photo shows the tag which was a die cut that come with the paper pack, I've stamped on it with a sentiment from Lili of the Valley. More stickles around the edge of the tag and a couple of small snowflakes cut from silver glitter card.

And the top of the jar again I've used my nesties to cutt the scalloped circle and then the silver snowflake is cut with my sizzix die, the white one with a woodware punch and the smaller silver one is a small punch.

I have used Christmas Pippin the Mouse on my card which I won this time last year but never got round to using last year. I bought some Fizzy Moon stamps this week from the lovely Tams and couldn't wait to use them. I have coloured this adorable little bear with promarkers, added crystal stickles to the centre of the flowers and some crackle glossy accents to the wrap around the flowers. I have used papers from MME Lime Twist pad that has been sat in my drawer for weeks waiting to be used. I have inked all the edges with distress ink to age them so they matched the butterfly paper which already had an inked effect along the edges. The paper lace is coloured with a promarker and inked. I added a few random clear dew drops around the edge and a punched butterfly with some tiny clear gems down it's body.

Make A Shaker Card at Incy Wincy

I have used First Taste of Snow which you can find here (I've linked to Karens blog as her shop link doesn't seem to working as I'm writing this). I've coloured this littel cutie with my promarkers and dug out my snow writer for the snow. I've used a circular card bland to make this easel card by folding the front in half. For the shaker element I made a little circular box into which I've stuck the image, my shaker part is some small pearl beads in white cream, blue grey and pink.

The sentiment is a die cut snowflake which I've stamped a sentiment from Lilli of the Valley. This is mounted onto a circle of mirri card which I have embossed and finished with a couple of swirls cut from whiteglitter card.

For my project I have made a tent card, I.ve used a card blank for the main part and a concetina of card attached to the bottom to make it stand up. The DP is from Craftwork Cards and was part of the gorgeous prize I recieved from Karen for winning the MSE challenge. The large flower gem came in a packet of buttons and the smaller ones are from ebay.

I have used Steppin Out from Stitchy which you can find here. I've coloured her with promarkers and used a sakura pen on the top part of her dress, I decided to give her pink tips to her hair what do you think lol they are much mor pink in real life. I have printed her out twice so I could decoupage her dress.

I cut the window with my circle nestie and hung the sentiment which is also fromCraftwork Cards, on some thin fuse wire from the top. I made a frame using two nesties out of silver card which I have put on foam pads around the opening.

For my card I have used this gorgeous silhouette from Floppy Latte called Butterfly Solace, the only thing I have done is add a little stickles to her wings for some sparkle.

The paper was a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs a while ago and I have used my new Marianne die for the silver mat under the image and the silver swirl under the flowers. The ribbon was cream coloured originally but I coloured it to match with my pro marker. I've added a butterfly charm to the bow. The flowers are plain white ones which I've edged with a pro marker to match them in.
